Our food system has changed dramatically over the last century. What we eat and how we grow our food is very different from how our great grandparents lived.

Instead of growing our own food on our own land and bartering with neighbors for what we didn’t grow ourselves, we’re now eating food that has been shipped across the world. Most people are completely disconnected from the source of their food.

Not only is our food being shipped thousands of miles, but much of it has been genetically modified in a lab and sprayed with heavy amounts of pesticides and herbicides. The introduction of chemical pesticides and genetically engineered foods promised higher crop yields and lower food prices. Instead, what we’re seeing is a growing obesity epidemic, a decline in the health of the general population and a complete disconnect on why that is occurring.

More and more people are starting to open their minds and see that there is something very wrong with our food system. Why are things that are banned or, at the very least, labeled as being dangerous allowed in our food supply completely unlabeled?

There are a growing number of documentaries being released that can help educate you on what is really going on with the food system in this country. Armed with this knowledge, you’ll be empowered to make better decisions for your family.
