Mercury

Also called “quicksilver” or “hydrargyrum,” mercury is mostly known for its role in thermometers. A chemical element, this heavy silver metal is affected by temperature. As different mercury products continue to be phased out by their more modern digital friends, there is a need for proper disposal. You don’t want this stuff out and about -  ever since the U.S. Clean Air Act of 1990, this little element has been on the toxic pollutants list.
